Galway Races 2016 - Summer festival set to attract bumper crowds
One of the highlights of the summer racing calendar, the Galway Festival will provide seven days of top notch action towards the end of July, early August, as punters are not only treated to some sparkling racing over obstacles, but also on the level for what is a fine week at Ballybrit.
The Galway Plate, which was won by Shanahan's Turn in 2015 and the Galway Hurdle, which was won by Quick Jack, are two of the highlights of the week-long extravaganza, but throughout the seven days there are some top notch races for punters to enjoy, along with some superb entertainment off the track.
