Galway Races 2017 - Summer festival set to attract bumper crowds
One of the highlights of the summer racing calendar, the Galway Festival will provide seven days of top notch action at the end of July as punters are not only treated to some sparkling racing over obstacles, but also on the level for what is a fine week at Ballybrit.
The Galway Plate was a thrilling race and the Gordon Elliott-trained Lord Scoundrel bagged victory in the entertaining renewal on Wednesday, while Clondaw Warrior was a battling winner of the Galway Handicap Hurdle on day four which was another thrilling betting heat, but throughout the seven days there are some top notch races for punters to enjoy, along with some superb entertainment off the track.
