The well fancied Drunken Sailor was the well deserved winner of the evening feature at Galway when he held on somewhat grimly from the fast finishing Rajik to win by half a length or so. Drunken Sailor who was very well backed prior to the race was always prominent and after seeing off the John Oxx trained Aliyfa sat sail for victory and was never headed. Taralga stayed on to be third.

- 2nd Rajik, C Swan, C Farrell, 16/1
