Guinness 17:59 EBF Auction Maiden 2011 (7f) - Kingdom comes out on top in classic
Kingdomforthebride won an absolute thriller in the second race of day five of the Galway Festival. Turning for home he looked to have got the better of market leader Makalali, but Wayne Lordan's mount continued to press Chris Hayes' runner and the two battled it out to the line.
Love Is The Key was closing in the final stages in a blanket finish, but John Gorman's two-year-old just held on to win by a head and after a stewards inquiry held on to the 7f crown.
