Arthur's Legacy Handicap 2011 (1m 4f) - Nua Teaches rivals a lesson

Dermot Weld racked up his stunning eleventh winner of the Galway Festival as he saddled Teach Nua to success in the Arthur's Legacy Handicap. Pat Smullen found himself boxed him for much of the race, but he pierced his way out of the pack to push the seven-year-old to the front turning for home.

Smullen continued to cajole the 6/4 favourite and he duly pulled away from his rivals to win by one-and-a-three quarter lengths.

2009 Result

Articilitis made all and toughed it out at the finish to see off hot favourite, No One Tells Me and provide excellent jockey, Gary Carroll with another Festival winner. No One Tells Me trained by Jessica Harrington and already a winner at the Festival this year had every chance but just could not find enough when it mattered and had to be content with second place. Third was Sandymount Lady, also trained by Jessica Harrington and fourth spot went to Keep It Cool.
