2009 Result

Montero who tracked runaway leader Joe Soap patiently until taking it up the running two from easily won this Novice Chase and gave trainer and jockey Roger Loughran a much deserved win at the Festival.

At one point it looked like Aoife Costa was going to lay down a real challenge but he was soon seen off leaving Montero to win his third race on the bounce. Aiofe Costa stayed on to be second with Farinelli back in third.
