Aidan O'Brien won this contest last year with Dance On By and the Ballydoyle master has two of the 15 entries for this year's renewal on the final day of the Galway Festival. Poinsettia and Sloane Street both appear to have an excellent chance, whilst Dermot Weld's Comedic Art is another eyecatching entry for the 1m 4f contest.

2009 Result

Young Lochinvar running for the second time at the meeting was too strong for the opposition in this competitive Handicap over 7 furlongs. Always prominent, Young Lochinvar took up the running before the final bend and won with some ease from the fast finishing Spavento and Rock Critic who had to settle for the minor placings.
