Day Seven Race Seven

Breen Memorial Flat Race 2010 - Day Seven race Seven

After a marathon week of brilliant racing in Galway we come to the final race on the card and we are in for an exciting finale, there is no surprise though as we see the Bumper race take center stage and it should be a brilliant way to end the Festival. It often attracts some very exciting horses as it did last year when Loosen My Load  picked up the win for Henry De Bromhead.

2009 Result

It was Nina Carberry riding Loosen My Load who brought the final curtain down on the 2009 Galway Festival winning a good race from the Jigsaw Man and Dancers Dilemma. It was a good quality race with several of the leading fancies running well but the most talked about horse before the race Bold Buccaneer failed to get a place.

  • 1st Loosen My Load, H De Bromhead, N Carberry, 9/2
  • 2nd The Jigsaw Man, R Curtis, A Conlon, 7/1
  • 3rd Dancers Dilemma, D Weld, R McNamara, 5/1
