Galway Races Handicap 2011 (1m 4f) - Lovers Peace lines up for double glory

Lovers Peace won on the opening day of the Galway Festival and is one of 29 entries for the sixth race on day seven. Edmond Kent's runner was impressive on Monday and is sure to be thereabouts if he lines up in this 1m 4f contest.

Of the others, Hawk Flight is an eyecatching entry for Maura McGuinnes, as is Gordon Elliott's consistent Priors Gold.

2009 Result

Noble Galileo trained by John Oxx and ridden by Mick Kinane was the easy winner of this EBF Maiden over 7 furlongs. Always running prominently he took the lead before the final bend and never looked in any danger. Second was the much hyped horse, Easy Mate, trained by Dermot Weld who ran well enough on her debut and will undoubtedly improve for the run. Third was Jim Bolger's Silent Decision
