Kerrymaid Flat Race 2010 - Day Six Race Seven
Once again we finish the card at Galway with a Bumper race on the flat and it should be an excellent way to finish the day at the races, it is a 2 mile race and it should be competitive if the previous years are anything to go by. Dermot Weld was the winning trainer last year and it would be no surprise to see him back with another top runner in 20010
2009 Result
Dermot Weld who has been unlucky over the last two days returned to winning ways when his highly promising Natural High won this competitive Bumper. He did give his supporters a scare in the final furlong when he veered right across the track but jockey, Robbie McNamara soon had him settled and running strongly to win with some comfort. Second was a very fast finishing Apt Manor, trained by Willie Mullins who should be one for the notebook as he certainly has a bumper win within him. Third was favourite Sparkling Tara.
- 1st Natural High, D Weld, R McNamara, 2/1
- 2nd Apt Manor, W Mullins, P Mullins, 7/1
- 3rd Sparkling Tara, JJ Hanlon, N Carberry, 7/4 Fav
