Tote Novice Hurdle - Day Three Race One 2010
Day three gets underway with this fascinating Novice Hurdle race over 2 miles, it is the afternoon card at Galway so we will be away early with this one in 2010. The race is open to horses aged four and upwards who have not won more than two races over the hurdles in the past. The team of Walsh and Mullins took this race last year and it would be no surprise to see them partnering up with a well fancied runner in 2010.
Gordon Elliott is a trainer in form at the moment and in Final Day he looks to have a real chance of going well in the opener at Galway today. AP McCoy also takes a ride in the race on board Carrigmartin for Edward Harty and he also looks to have real chance of going well.

2009 Result
Tawaagg was an easy winner of the opener at Galway as the odds on favourite did everything he had to do to win. Taken along by No Stopping Sarah, Ruby Walsh held Tawaagg on the bridle and tracked the leaders. As they approached the second last he launched his challenge and once in front never looked back.
He was helped by the withdrawals of Hintsnallegations and Grangecare Gold but it was still a solid performance. No Stopping Sarah ran gamely to be second with Baily Third finishing third.
- 1st – Tawaagg, W Mullins, R Walsh, 4/5
- 2nd – No Stopping Sarah, P Fahy, P Townend, 7/1
- 3rd – Baily Rock, M Morris, N Madden, 4/1
