Topaz Maiden Hurdle 2010 - Day Two Race One
This 2m Maiden Hurdle Race kicks off Day Two at the Galway Races and it looks sure to be an exciting race for horse aged five years and older, last year it was picked up by Teach Nua for Dermot Weld at 8/1 so there can be some great value on offer. The Willie Mullins yard should also be watched closely here as they always put up a good show and 2010 is unlikely to be any different.
With that in mind it is Clonard Lad who will be the main hope here for the Mullins yard this year, also going and looking good is Universal Truth who will be the ride for Dermot Weld in the opener for Day 2 of the Festival.

Teach Nua trained almost inevitably by Dermot Weld ran the perfect race to win the opener on the second evening at the Galway Festival. Ridden coolly by Paul Townend, Teach Nua took up the running two from home and soon had the favourite, For The Staff with Ruby Walsh on board beaten.
Boragh Princess with Robbie Power on board finished strongly to nudge For The Staff down to third. It was Weld’s third winner of the meeting.
