The Galway City Handicap 2010
We now come to the feature race of the day at Galway on Day one and it looks like a cracker over 2 miles with all the top trainers set to have entries in this one, Dermot Weld will be the one to watch as always after he won the race last year with Ghimaar and in 2008 with Majestic Concorde who went onto to be a nice type.
Dermot Weld has another great chance this year in Sublime Talent and he will go off well backed, as will Cyborg who will be the mount of Katie Walsh for the feature race of the day.

Dermot Weld was on the mark again when his top weighted Ghimaar ran a terrific race to comfortably win the First Day evening feature at Galway. Always handy, Ghimaar tracked the leaders from the very start but showed his true class after jumping the second last.
Second was Evening Rushour, with Mountain Snow staying on for third and Jump For You in fourth.

The Galway Festival is probably the best attended racing festival in all of Ireland, with approximately 250,000 people attending over its seven day duration.
