Ruby Walsh

It was no surprise when a young Ruby Walsh burst on to the horse racing scene with aplomb to follow in his father's Ted shoes.  A phenomenon from a young age Walsh as exceeded all expectations and has no become one of the greatest jockeys in national hunt history.

An amatuer champion aged 18 Walsh propelled himself up the ranks and became a household name, when aboard Papillon for his father won the 2000 English Grand National.  A star had really been born.

Since that moment both his reputation and riding style has grown and with the addition of being stable jockey for Paul Nicholls and WIllie Mullins has set Walsh up to be one of Ireland's top sportrtsman.

As a multiple champion jockey Walsh is bound to have a whole of host of quality rides throughout the seven day Galway Festival and this year should be no different.  With Messrs Mullins and Nicholls likely to send a whole host of top runners to Ballybrit then Walsh will certainly be venturing into the winner's enclosure/
