Horse Racing FixturesThe Galway Festival 2010 is one of several major Summer racing betting meetings. These 2010 race fixtures indicate the popularity of horse racing.  The summer festivals, including the Galway Festival are some of the most popular racing and betting events that takes place, either in the UK or Ireland at this time. Other major racing events or festivals include The Guineas Festival that takes place early in the season at Newmarket. This is followed by the Epsom Derby Festival and then the Irish Derby Festival at The Curragh. Royal Ascot also takes place in June, followed by Galway and Glorious Goodwood at the end of July. The York Ebor meeting is in mid-August and the Doncaster St Leger in September.

Royal Ascot Races - June

Royal Ascot is one of the best known race metings in the world and indeed there are often horses represented at the meeting from all points of the globe. Over the five days there are no fewer than six Group One races. Everything about Royal Ascot in fact is quality, from the racing to the fashion stakes it is a truly remarkable meeting and has been a very happy hunting ground for Irish Trainers of recent times, particularly Aiden O'Brien. Tickets for the Royal Ascot Races are very sought after and if you are looking to attend this meeting our advice is to book early.

The Epsom Derby - June

This is the most famous of all British races and arguably is the most famous race in the world. Won last year by Irish Trainer, Jim Bolger with his top class colt, New Approach. The meeting also hosts the English Oaks, won last year by Ralph Beckett with Look Here. The meeting always takes place in early June and is almost as fashion concious as Royal Ascot.Epsom Derby betting The Betting opens for the Epsom derby very early in the previos season, each time a quality 2 year old colt surfaces you can bet your life that the Bookies are quick to lay odds. At one point last year Aiden O'Brien had the first four favourites for the race as each time one of his top 2 year olds ran they won in style.

Doncaster St Leger - September

The St Leger is a Group 1 race aimed at the more staying type of horse and is run over a mile and six furlongs at the Doncaster Racecourse in September. The St Leger is the oldest of the five English Classics and is open to both thoroughbred fillies and colts, it is the final Classic of the season in the UK
