Galway Races Day ThreeA hugely competitive field will go to post for the 2017 Galway Plate, which is the feature race on day three of the Galway Festival, and it will see last year's winner Lord Scoundrel aim to retain the coveted crown in what should be a spectacular betting heat at 5:35pm on Wednesday evening.

Elsewhere on the card there will be some tough handicap events including the Tote Handicap Hurdle at 4:25pm, while Dermot Weld will unleash a decent team throughout the day, as he aims to add yet more Ballybrit success to his glittering CV.
