Galway Festival 2012 Day 3
Day three of the Galway Festival always attracts a bumper crowd as the highlight of the week the Galway Plate takes centre stage.
Some of the top national hunt horses contest the 2m 6f contest in which Blazing Tempo was an impressive winner in 2011. Horses from all over Britain and Ireland line up for the steeplechase and it's always a fiercely contested heat and one of Ireland's most eagerly-awaited races of the entire season.
Starting mid afternoon day three hosts an eight race card with some intriguing contests throughout the day.

2012 Galway Races Free £100 From Paddy Power
The Galway Festival is probably the best attended racing festival in all of Ireland, with approximately 250,000 people attending over its seven day duration.
